Ko Samui is so small that no part of it is really far away. But even in relative terms, Villa Baan Waan is ideally located at the top of the elite Santi Thani neighbourhood. Far enough from the hassle of the overloaded tourist spots, yet with easy access to service places and major attractions.

Whatever way you arrive in the island, it will not take you much more than 20 minutes to drive to the villa. And from there, it would be 5 minutes down to the nearest beach. Nathon's fresh food market is 10-15 minutes away, and the recently opened Tesco Lotus department store, where you would find everything from grocery to fashion, is 15 minutes away.

By choosing Villa Baan Waan you opted for tranquillity. Yet the bustling Chaweng Beach, with its shops, bars and discos, including the celebrated Green Mango and Reggae Pub, is only 20-25 minutes away.

Should you fancy to dine out, the number of options is practically unlimited. A popular spot, especially for seafood lovers (but not only), is the stylish Fisherman Village by Bophut Pier, only 10-15 minutes from the villa.

One comment though, the villa is situated at remarkable altitude - around 150 metres (500 feet) above sea level. It means fresh air, pleasant breeze, breathtaking view, but also a steep snaky narrow road down to Samui's ring road (or up from there...). With a car or motorbike, you would climb the hill in less than 5 minutes, but please use low gear and drive carefully.

Because of the steepness of the hill, we don't believe that you will walk it. Not after the first time you try. If you don't want to drive by yourself, we recommend that you hire a cab driver, promptly available around the clock on phone alerts, on a daily basis.
